For the first time ever, Rookie will be waddling around the island for this year's Halloween Party, instead of Gary since the past few years. Here are some meetup times for Rookie. Be sure to check back for more meetup times with Rookie!

New Puffle Coming Soon - Polo Field To Post More Information Soon

We've known about new Puffle surprises coming in November since early October thanks to Club Penguin's membership page but nothing official has been said about it until now. Polo Field has made a brief blog post about it. 

The rumors are true! A new puffle species is coming this month. We can't say too much yet, but we'll have more show you soon!

Mad Scientist Convention with Gary!

Gary is organizing a Mad Scientist Convention and he wants you to be there! All you have to do is put on your best MAD SCIENTIST costume -- whatever that means to you -- and meet Gary inside the University on Tuesday October 29th at 4 PM Penguin Standard Time. The server has not been confirmed but it will be announced by 3:30.

A Mad Scientist Convention is a big deal -- it might even be in an upcoming episode of #WaddleOn!

Trick or Treating with Chattabox

Chattabox who has been back from a long holiday, is having a trick or treating meetup this Thursday on the server Blizzard at 4pm Australian Eastern Standard Time, or 6pm NZ time. If you would like them to visit your igloo, write your name in the comments below and tell them why they should come and check out your Halloween igloo – remember to make sure you have the trick or treat candy pumpkin so everyone can all collect candy.

Happy 8th birthday Club Penguin!!

Anniversary decorations can be seen on the outside and also on the inside of the Coffee Shop.

You can get the 8th Anniversary Hat on the table in the bottom left corner of the Coffee Shop. With the myth of the Rainbow Puffle unveiled early this year, the theme of this year's anniversary hat is Rainbow.

Exclusive Interview with Jordan Fisher!

Earlier this week Club Penguin told us about a brand new song that they're working on called "It's Your Birthday!" Jordan Fsiher from Disney Channel's Teen Beach Movie was asked to sing lead vocals on the new track in honor of Club Penguin's 8th anniversary!

The team even interviewed him and asked him a few questions, some which include questions from penguins.

What are your favorite things about Club Penguin?
Personally…I love the social aspect of the game. The fact that it's truly such a safe way for friends to meet up and play some games together after school is way cool. 

How did you get to where you are?  

To shorten a VERY long story…I fell in love with theatre first. It was something brand new and exciting to me growing up as a gymnast…that was all I knew. As much as I love the sport, I could quickly tell that I was more passionate about performing. Started acting, singing, and dancing simultaneously…met my eventual manager at a workshop in Birmingham, AL (my hometown)…started making trips back and forth between AL and LA auditioning for TV/Film…fell in love with TV/Film…eventually started working on TV/Film…eventually started writing and recording music…bada-bing bada-boom…I now reside in Los Angeles full-time as an actor/artist! Love it dearly. :) 

What cool projects are you working on now?
Well, lately, music has been a huge part of my life. I've been in the studio heaps over the last year, writing and recording with some incredible producers.
My debut single "By Your Side" will actually be played for the first time on Radio Disney this Friday! Look out for it. ;) 

We hear you're going on a volunteer trip to Ecuador. Could you tell us more about it and how you got involved? 

I sure am! I'm SO excited about it. We'll be in Ecuador for eight days working with a beautiful community to help build classrooms, tend to farms, and workshop with artisan groups among many other things. Words can't express how humbled and overjoyed I am to be a part of this experience. My flight couldn't come any sooner!

To be honest…I can't remember my old Penguin's name. Although, my NEW Penguin's name is Soraxas! It's a fusion of two characters from my all-time favorite game, Kingdom Hearts. :) Also...just a little trivia...my dog's name is Sora as well! 

Srijanrocks2 asks: What was your first ever Club Penguin party?
The Christmas Party in 2005 was my very first party on Club Penguin! It's my favorite Holiday of the year. I actually start listening to Christmas music on Nov. 1st every year to get amped up and in the spirit. :) 

Lorenzo31178 asks: What was your favorite party on Club Penguin?
The Teen Beach Summer Jam was super cool to me for obvious reasons. The fact that I played Club Penguin close to the very beginning and then had costumes modeled after my character in "Teen Beach Movie" some years later is still wonderfully strange. Haha :) 

Boba 126 asks: What was it like creating the birthday track for Club Penguin?
It was AWESOME! I got to meet a few kids that day that all play Club Penguin as well. Had a blast! 

Tech70 asks: What is your favorite Club Penguin mascot? 
SENSEI. My friends and I played this ninja game that we made up pretty frequently. Being the smallest and youngest of my friends at the time, we all thought it would be funny to make me the "ninja master", so I would always walk around with my hands behind my back or with a cool walking stick that I would find calling everyone "grasshopper"…so when I met Sensei in CP for the first time when he was digging out the Dojo, I flipped out! 

Ds Fan13 asks: If you could become one of the main Club Penguin characters, who would it be and why?
Jet Pack Guy for a few reasons..
A) He has a jetpack.
B) He ALWAYS has his jetpack (and shades, of course).
C) He seems like a pretty cool guy, but can also take care of business when he needs to.
D) My mode of transportation is my car…his is…A JETPACK!!!

Birthday Music Video - Get Involved!

Club Penguin is working hard on their upcoming birthday music video, titled “It’s Your Birthday”, and they need your help!

We want to have a bunch of penguins with party outfits and party hats in our video! Here’s what you could do to get involved: 

1) Dress up your penguin with a party outfit and an Anniversary Hat or Birthday Hat
2) Reply to this blog post (leave a comment)
3) We’ll randomly select a few outfits from the commenters to be featured in the video Ninja is working on right now! 

Plus we’re also going to film some video footage in the Coffee Shop today at 12:15pm Penguin Standard Time. Another chance to get involved!

Kid President and Socktober!

To all my Club Penguin friends! 

I’m Kid President. I like to dance. I want to help make the world more awesome. You might have seen my videos online or maybe even watched them in school. I’m writing because I love Club Penguin! You guys know how to make cool things happen. 

I’m declaring the month SOCKTOBER! and I need your help. 

What if we got 1 million people to help the homeless? Every night there are nearly 600,000 people who have to sleep on the streets in our country and it’s about to get really cold. That’s not okay! We can help them. 

See if you and your family can work together to collect new socks and other simple everyday things your homeless neighbors might need. Collect them all by October 31 and deliver them to the local shelter in your town. Kids all over the world are getting involved! Can’t collect socks? 

We’re also working to raise money to help our friend Aaron build a safe place for women and kids who are homeless in Little Rock, Arkansas. 

We want to show the world what awesome looks like! If you and your family decide to help out with SOCKTOBER, we want to know! Have your parents email a photo of your donation to socktober@soulpancake.com, along with your penguin name. I'll send a list of the penguins who donated to the Club Penguin Team, and they'll give you a special rare item for donating: the Green Bunny Slippers! How awesome is that? 

There’s lots of people I could ask for help, but can’t think of a better group than my friends at Club Penguin. Let’s make this the best Socktober ever!

Chattabox is back from a very long and relaxing holiday!!

After a very long and relaxing holiday, I'm back in the wonderful world of Club Penguin. There sure are some awesome igloos around at the moment - looking forward to visiting them all!

Club Penguin Anniversary Special Announcement - Happy Birthday Music Video!

With Club Penguin's 8th Anniversary coming soon, Polo Field has made a special announcement on the Club Penguin blog - a Happy Birthday music video by Jordan Fisher from Disney Channel's Teen Beach Movie. He will also be asking your questions! Here's the full post by Polo Field:

It's almost been 8 whole years since Club Penguin launched. Can you believe it? To celebrate, we'll be releasing a Happy Birthday music video! One that you can share all 365 days of the year – how awesome is that? 

That's not all! This will be more than your regular-old Happy Birthday tune, it's going to be a brand new Club Penguin original! I've had a listen to it and I've gotta say it's pretty catchy. The best part? It features Jordan Fisher, who you may know from Disney Channel's Teen Beach Movie. 

Fun fact: he also used to play Club Penguin! 

 

We are excited to have the opportunity to work with Jordan. Especially since he's taking some time to answer some questions from you – the Club Penguin community!

Card-Jitsu can be a bit tricky to learn at first so it’s a good job there are penguins around like Ansh2007! They hang at The Dojo and share all their CJ techniques with new players. Oh and they're an awesome scientist complete with crazy green hair! Ace.

#OperationPuffle Confirmed - Coming Soon

Remember the Zombie Penguins video by Club Penguin that was released on Wednesday? Turns out it's not as random as it seems... a huge secret has been in it and nobody noticed it until now! Right at the end at around the 12 second mark, an “Operation Puffle” logo flashes in the bottom left corner.

Monstrous UK Magazine News - Make A Monster Contest!

Club Penguin's UK Team is holding a 12 month membership contest! Don't worry, 5 runner ups will still be able to win - a 6 month membership! All you need is the latest UK Magazine issue and draw a spook-tacular monster. Here's the post Daffodaily5 made:

So you like monsters, huh? Well SO DO I! It's one of the many reasons I totes love Halloween. Which is why I was so excited to hear from our magazine team when they told me they're running a wicked competition for all our super talented artists in the UK. Intrigued? Yup, I was too. 

Basically, it goes like this; find the Make-a-Monster Contest page in the latest issue of the UK CP mag (psssst! It's page 15!) and draw your very own monster creation! When you're happy with your scary sketch, ask your parents to send it over to the team (using the details at the bottom of the page) and you will be in for a chance to win a 12 month membership! Ace!

Club Penguin Halloween Party 2013 – Trick-Or-Treat!

Club Penguin’s annual Halloween Party has been released! This is their ninth Halloween Party. Some new additions to the party made it more spook-tacular.  

When you first log in Rookie will appear.

Happy Halloween! The island is filled with candy, like bursting. 

I ordered waaaaay too much! Trick-or-treat on the island or in igloos to get as much as you can. 

Oh, and some candies are cursed…

...But I don’t think anything bad can happen from a curse, right?

Okay...

To trick or treat, simply click on it or go up to one of the giant pumpkin candy areas. If you place this item in your igloo, penguins can trick or treat there too, which you could also get some more igloo likes!

Simply click three of the candies, it does not matter which.

It’ll then tell you how many you’ve earned. For the first time, items from this party are bought with candies, instead of coins.

For a minute or two after taking candy from a pumpkin you cannot get any more from that particular one.

If you get a special transformation candy, you'll receive an extra message in the bottom.

Rookie will notify you about the 'bonus' candy you found too!

Yikes! A Fang Fudgie!

Those will turn you into a vampire if you eat them! That's way too scary. I'll drop this in your candy bag so nothing spooky happens.

The transformation feature is members only. To transform, simply click the candy bag icon in the top right or click on 'Go to Candy Bag' when Rookie notifies you of a 'bonus' candy to access your cursed candy.

As for trick-or-treating in igloos, members can be listed on the Trick-or-Treat Igloos list by placing the special jack-o’-lantern from the Furniture Catalog in their igloo.

Once done, you’ll get prompted to have your igloo open to everyone if it isn’t already. 

You’ll then see yourself, and others, on the list. You can access this list from the Stadium or the map.

There are multiple variations of each candy. Collect all three Full-Moon Fireballs, all three Fang Fudgies, and all three Zombie Zingers (you get them all at random) for a prize.

This funny little item is the prize!

Items

Instead of coins, candies are used to buy items. About 2/3 of this catalog are new items and 1/3 are old items.

Miscellaneous Things

There are not three, but six special party emotes!

There are many decorated rooms but there are quite a few that have amazing designs, such as the Cove.
