Then there’s the mobile space. Club Penguin already has a presence on iOS devices with a port of the Puffle Launch minigame from its website. But coming this summer is My Penguin, a free app that is tied to English-speaking accounts. Heatherly said it’s a companion to the Club Penguin virtual playground, and lets players make changes to their penguin from an iOS device. It will also link to more of the Club Penguin minigames. Heatherly said that only games that “make sense” on mobile will be brought over.If it's true, (except the point that they said My Penguin was coming this summer) My Penguin will definitely be coming to Android tablets at some point!
Other languages and Android versions are also in the works, said Heatherly, but for now he wants to start “humbly”. “Kids are still going to play on the web,” he said, “but for the brand to stay relevant, we need to be on mobile.”
Hmm... that could mean... an Android version of My Penguin is launching this summer.
